Black watch in massive AFghanistan operation

The Black Watch has carried out one of the biggest air operations of modern times. The Ministry of Defence says troops carried out an assault on one of the last Taliban strongholds in Helmand Province. The 3 Scots battalion have close ties with Perth.

NHS Tayside respond over Swine flu fears

NHS Tayside are responding to safety fears over Swine flu. Locals are reminded that risk to the public still remains low, despite Tayside's first case of the virus being confirmed. A patient is being treated at home after contracting the H1N1 virus whilst travelling. Those in close contact are also being tested.

Locals asked about Dunning improvements

An exhibition showcasing designs to improve Dunning go on display today. The Place check project aims to improve open spaces in the Perthshire Village. Proposals will be on display at Dunning Pavillion for the public to view until the 4th of July. Local people are asked to identify places they'd like to see improved.
