Plans for a thirty million pound redevelopment of a Perthshire water treatment works are being unveiled today. MSP Roseanna Cunningham is officially opening the hydro turbine system at Loch Turret. The upgrade, by Scottish Water, should power 450 homes. They'll deliver 85 million litres of fresh drinking water every day.

Further criticism over City Hall

The council have once again been criticised over the City Hall redevelopment. Tory Council group leader Alexander Stewart says elected members are as much in the dark over renewed plans for the hall as the public are. He's asked the council once again for a detailed update on plans to turn the hall into a retail and community centre.
Mr Stewart says they first asked for the information back in February.

Two Perthshire woodlands have benefited through funding by the Scottish Government. Kirkton and Mailer Farm and the Ballathie Estate will see improved woodland areas thanks to money from the Scotland Rural Development Programme. Almost 150 thousand pounds will see 30 hectares of native woodland planted near St Magdalene's Hill woodland in Perth. And almost 50 thousand pounds will assist with the expansion and management of Ballathie estate's native woodland.
