Broxden crash leaves one in hospital

A woman's been taken to hospital with serious head injuries following a crash last night. The 49 year old was involved in a collision with an articulated lorry and 6 other vehicles during rush hour. It happened on the A9 Western Bypass, near the Broxden roundabout. Police, Fire and Ambulance services attended the collision at around half past 5. Police ask anyone who witnessed the crash to get in touch.

Condolences after blackwatch soldier dies

A local MP has expressed his condolences after the death of another Blackwatch soldier in Afghanistan. Pete Wishart has responded to the news that a soldier was killed in Khandahar last night. The soldier's identity has not yet been released, but family have been informed. The regiment have close ties with Perthshire.

Two appear in court in connection with stabbing

Two people are due to appear in court today in connection with a stabbing at a Perth flat. A 25-year-old man suffered serious chest and leg injuries after an attack early on Wednesday morning. It's been confirmed that a 35-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the incident.
