1.6 million pound resurfacing on A9
Transport Scotland is spending £1.6 million on resurfacing the A9 between Aberuthven and Auchertarder this week. The works will use a “crack and seat” technique that makes better use of existing road layers which will minimise the need for new material to be quarried produced and transported to the site. The works are also part of a carbon management pilot to measure the materials, energy and waste generated by road projects. The work which starts next week will be carried out in two phases with a break to avoid the busy Easter weekend and should be finished mid April.

Football fans face ban if caught in bother on Scotlands rail network.
Fans of Tayside's three football clubs now risk losing their season tickets if they are involved in trouble anywhere on Scotland's rail network. Dundee, St Johnstone and Dundee United supporters detained or arrested by British Transport Police (BTP) also face football banning orders. The BTP has agreed to share information with the three clubs in a bid to tackle disorder and anti-social behaviour. Football banning orders prevent fans from attending matches in Scotland, the UK or abroad for up to 10years. The scheme is already in place with many other Scottish football clubs
