Black Watch soldier killed in Afghanistan
A Black Watch soldier has been killed in Afghanistan. The soldier was shot whilst on patrol in the Helmand Province yesterday. It's the first casualty since the battalion was dispatched last month. Details of the soldier's identity will not be released until the funeral.
City Hall announcements are 'premature'
Perth and Kinross council say announcements over Perth City Hall are premature. It comes after developers Wharfeside announced plans for a retail and lifestyle centre with Artspace yesterday. They've revised the proposals originally submitted in 2006.
They now include spaces for art galleries and entertainment. A council spokesperson said the plans are exciting, but have not yet been approved and are not final.
Bus company investigates complaint
The Stagecoach bus company is investigating a complaint of anti-social behaviour on a Perth bus route. A mother complained of drunken football fans on the number two bus from Letham. She said they verbally abused her seven-year-old daughter and swore loudly on the bus. The Morton fans were not asked to leave the bus by the driver. The company say they'll be looking into the incident.
