St Johnstone celebrating SPL promotion

Perth is still celebrating after St Johnstone made it to the SPL over the bank holiday weekend. After a 3 –1 victory at Mcdiarmid, the blues were presented with the first division trophy. It's the first time the Perth team have made it into the Scottish Premier League in seven years. They also broke their own record for the longest undefeated run.

Perth 800 celebrations a boost to local economy

Perth 800 celebration will be a boost to the local economy. That's according to Perth and Kinross council. The celebrations take place in 2010, on the anniversary of the granting of the royal charter to Perth. The Black Watch are set to play a major role in celebrations.

Figures show Perth people are hard of hearing

Fewer than one in five people in Perth regularly check their hearing. That's according to a study released today. It also showed that people in Perth are more likely to ask someone to repeat themselves than anywhere else in Scotland. Nearly one in three frequently ask others to repeat things, and one in four find it hard to follow conversations in social gatherings.
