Assault on North Inch

An assault took place on the North Inch last night. Police are looking for people who saw the incident. It happened at around eleven o'clock last night near Hay street. No one was injured, but the victim was left shaken. If anyone was in the area at the time or have any information, they're asked to contact the police.

St Johnstone fans turn out for bus tour

Thousands of St Johnstone fans lined the streets of Perth last night to see the team on an open top bus. The parade was laid on to honour the players after they won the first division title and promotion to the Scottish Premier League. After touring through Letham, Muirton and Craigie, the bus head to town to be greeted by thousands of fans on the High street.

Perthshire man jailed after going on the run

A Perthshire man who went on the run following early release from prison has been jailed for 32 months. Joseph Millbank became the first Scot on a child protection Most Wanted website when he failed to notify police of his change of address last May. The Luncarty man's been ordered to resume a prison sentence of ten years for abusing children. But the sentence will still be ten years, meaning no extra time's been added to the term.
