Jet skiing pair rescued from River Tay
Two people were rescued from the River Tay yesterday following a Jet Ski accident. The 29-year-old woman and 35-year-old man were rescued after being plunged into the water. A lifeboat and helicopter were launched to help the rescue operation. Eventually a member of the Perth diving club rescued the woman, and the man was pulled out at Perth harbour by emergency services.

Community wardens have a positive impact on resident's lives. That's according to a report that'll go before councillors this week. It shows how wardens in Rattray, Muirton and North Muirton have formed good relationships with locals. It also shows how incidents of youth annoyance have dropped off in these areas.
Perthshire pupils compete in European quiz
A group of Perthshire school pupils will be in Parliament today, competing in the finals of a European quiz. Comrie Primary School won the Perth and Kinross heat of the Euroquiz in March. They'll compete against 30 other schools today. It's the second year the quiz has been held in the main chamber of the Scottish parliament.
