Perthshire Tourism Partnership
A new multi-agency body, which will aim to provide a co-ordinated approach to promoting the Perthshire tourism, met for the first time yesterday.
Members of the Perthshire Tourism Partnership (PTP), gathered in Pitlochry for it's inaugural meeting. The PTP brings together players from both public and private sectors, with the purpose of driving forward tourism priorities, exploiting common strengths and developing an action based approach to tourism. The first task the organisation faces is to revisit the existing tourism strategy to bring it into line with the national framework for change, and create an action plan for delivery of the strategy.
Commonwealth Experienc for local woman
A Blairgowrie woman picked to perform in the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony is hoping to inspire local youngsters to follow in her footsteps. Jennifer Younger returned from Delhi keen to share her incredible experiences and encourage school children to pull on their dancing shoes. She will be teaching a new set of street dances at leisure venue live active Blairgowrie next month. She was fortunate to be selected to join the 352 volunteers who delivered a dance routine full of Scottish flavour.
CIS Action at McDiarmid Park
