South Inch Regeneration

The regeneration of the South Inch in Perth is getting underway in the next few weeks. The first phase of improvements will concern the revamp of the parklands boating pond. Perth and Kinross council want to revitialise the park for locals and visitors by providing a leisure and recreation facility. Other planned improvements include a new play area, better entrances and paths and enhancing the appearance of the parks landscape.


Council services get reshaped for the elderly

Perth and Kinross council is reforming services for elderly residents. It's because the number of people over sixty five living in the area is expected to go up seventy four percent by 2031. As part of the reshape in services, the council's introducing a reablement programme this week. It's designed to help people get back to work after poor health or being in hospital.



Saint's manager talks to us about John Hughes

St Johnstone's manager Derek McInnes has been telling Perth FM he was surprised by Hibs manager John Hughes's resignation. Hughes quit earlier this week after the side lost 2 nil to St Johnstone at the weekend. The Saints manager says he's sad to see him go.
