Police warn locals of bogus workmen
Tayside Police are asking people in Perthshire to be vigilant to workmen in the area. The advice comes after three men pretended to carry out work in the Nimmo Avenue area of the city last night. They proceeded to steal money from one of the households in the neighborhood. Officers are advising locals to always ask for identification from workers coming into their homes.
Insulation scheme to create jobs for Perth and Kinross
Politicians are saying a grant from the Scottish Government will create local jobs in Perth and Kinross. The governments giving five hundred and ninety thousand pounds to improve energy efficency in the area. It's part of a ten million pound package in line with Scotland's energy efficency action plan. It's anticipated much of the money will be spent on home insulation.
New buzz in Perth
Children from Kinross Primary school have been to visit a new Bee Sanctuary in Perthshire. It's been created at the RSPB Scotland's Vane Farm nature reserve on the shores of Loch Leven. The site of the new bee sanctuary is in an area of the reserve known as "Little Vane".
