No confidence in Council Chief exec

A vote of no confidence in the Chief Executive of Perth and Kinross Council has been lodged. It comes after Kinross Community Council felt Bernadette Malone was unresponsive to their requests. The Convention of Community Councils in Perth and Kinross say she repeatedly ignores and marginalizes them.

Threat to Perthshire village under discussion

Environmental threats to Perthshire's largest village are under discussion tonight. The new steering Group set up in Scone will meet at the Old Church Hall. Scone Organisation for the protection of the environment has been set up to cull over-development in the village. Tonight's agenda will include plans for another supermarket at Balgarvie. The meeting will being at half past seven.

Old computers needed in Perth

A charity is asking people in Perth to donate old computers to be sent to Africa. Computers4 Africa is collecting IT equipment at the former B&Q warehouse in ST Catherine's Retail Park. The ability to teach children in Africa how to use computers is an important part of education and could change their lives. The charity is also entering names into a prize draw to win a trip to Gambia.
