Scotland could be 100% renewable in 20 years
A new report shows Scotland could be 100 percent renewable in 20 years. It could generate all the electricity the country needs within two decades. Perthshire leads the way for renewable energy with hydro power and windfarms across Highland Perthshire. Though residents have complained about the increase of windfarms spoiling the countryside recently. The report shows Scotland will no longer need to burn fossil fuels if the country can fulfill its potential by using wind and waves.
Car seats in Perth incorrectly fitted
A large number of Perth parents are fitting child car seats incorrectly. That's according to a recent survey by Tayside police. They hold a car seat clinic every month to check children's seats are fitted and adjusted correctly. They found only 31 percent were satisfactory. 18 percent were completely incompatible with car or damaged beyond use.
Perth pets overweight
Scottish Pets are the fattest in Britain. That's according to a survey by a top pet charity. The PDSA say people across Scotland, including Perthshire, don't realise they're overfeeding their dogs.
