Recycling a victim of own success
The recycling of brown lidded bins in Perth and Kinross has been so successful that expansions have had to be put on hold. Council officers and residents have proved to be among the best in Scotland at heading towards national targets. However the workload for council staff has meant that no additional residents can get involved in the scheme currently and have been put on a waiting list. Temporary measures have been put in place in the short term while the local authority finds a solution.
