Connect2 Bridge
The preferred design for the Connect2 Bridge has been approved. Earlier this year 700 locals were asked which structure out of two they would prefer to go over the River Tay. The majority voted in favour of a three arch design as oppose to a flat bridge.

Hundreds of jobs could be coming to Perth if a multi-million pound project gets the go-ahead. Plans to revamp St Catherine's Retail Park Have Been Unveiled. Proposals Have already been sent to the council and its thought a larger planning application will be submitted in the new year.
Robbery
Detectives are investigating a robbery at a building site in Perth. It's thought around 180 pounds worth of electrical cable was stolen from the property on Ainslie Terrace. Police are urging those who noticed anything happening between Tuesday evening and yesterday morning to come forward.
Best Bar None
Bars, Restaurants, Pubs and Clubs in Perth have been recognised for their good work. It's as the winners of this year's Best Bar None Awards are announced. Almost twenty premises received gold, silver or bronze accolades for their safety policy and professional management. The scheme aims to make sure the city centre is a fun and safe place to be.
Lightnight Weekend
A display of fireworks is to be launched from the River Tay, to get the city's Lightnight weekend underway. The festivities are the grand finale to the Perth 800 celebrations. A host of landmarks are also expected to by lit up to mark the occasion. It starts at 9pm and the show will go on for half hour altogether so make sure you wrap up warm.
