Improvement in Property Market
Perthshire's Property Market is in a significantly healthier state than it was 12 months ago, according to local property specialists.There has been no sign of an early freeze on the market as winter approaches, as house sales appear to be booming across the area.Approximately £123 million worth of homes have been sold in the last 3 quarters of this year, a rise of 28% on the previous year.There are also indications of confidence in the house-building sector with a flood of new development proposals being submitted to Perth and Kinross Councils planning department.
Help for Smokers
NHS Tayside is holding a free information evening for smokers in Perth to find out more about the support available to help them kick the habit. Anyone wanting to give up smoking is invited to come along to the drop-in event in the Sandeman Meeting Room in AK Bell Library between 5pm and 7.30pm tomorrow evening. Members of staff from Tayside Smoke Free Services will be on hand to give advice and information on giving up smoking and the various schemes run by NHS Tayside.
Injury blow for St Johnstone
