Man arrested after theft from 80 year old lady

A theft yesterday afternoon in the car park at Morrisons saw an elderly lady in her 80s have her handbag stolen, from inside her car. A man reached into her car and stole the handbag just before she drove home, and it was suspected that she had been followed while inside the store.Members of the public gave chase but were unable to catch him. Tayside Police have confirmed today that a 25 year olf man has been charged in relation to the incident.

John Muir Trust oppose windfarn access changes

Leading Scottish Environmental Charity, the John Muir Trust have branded possible changes to access routes for a local windfarm as chaotic. The Griffin Wind Development Farm approved for Inver was taken over by Scottish and Southern Energy, but they have now put forward new proposals for access. The Trust are now worried about the impact these changes could have on the local environment and communities

Alcohol project due to close

A Perth project that houses people with complex alcohol problems is set to close. The Tayview House has been a joint project between the Churches Action for the Homeless and Perth and Kinross Council. The scheme will be closed soon and replaced with a project focussing on youth services. A recent review showed a need to try other option when it comes to support for those suffering from chronic alcoholism.
