Murder enquiry in Coupar Angus

The death of a teenager in Coupar Angus is being treated as suspicious. Police have confirmed that the body found in a burn yesterday is that of teenager Robbie Thomson. The 17 year old was reported as missing from his home in Brodie's yard, Coupar Angus, yesterday morning. His body was found in the afternoon by a police dog handler and his dog. A murder enquiry is now underway. Police want to hear from anyone who had contact with Robbie in the last few days.

Fire blaze in Perth home

Firefighters have been battling a fire in Perth this morning. They were called to a house on Letham road at around half past six. A woman in her 90's was saved from the address. The hospital has confirmed she's fine. An ongoing investigation will continue into the cause of the fire, which has badly damaged the property. Tayside fire and rescue are reminding residents to check their smoke alarms are in working order.

Perth man to row his way into record books

A businessman from Perth is set to embark on a major challenge. John Mollison hopes to row his way into the record books by completing a thirty five thousand mile Atlantic crossing. The 49 year old ex-serviceman lost a leg in the Falklands war. He wants to raise awareness of Blesma, the British Limbless Ex servicemen's association.
